85 million jobs will be replaced by automation in just 5 years
Covid-19 accelerated automation in the workplace. World Economic Forum (WEC) released the 2020 Future of Jobs report, mapping out jobs and skills of the near future and the pace of societal change in the next five years. 85 million jobs will be displaced by automation for blue and white collar jobs, such as accountants, assembly lines, and data entry clerks. Here are the jobs we’ll see disappear:

WEC also reports that in the future, your best bet is a mix of hard and soft-skills.
Product management, digital marketing, and lifecycle software development are a core set of specialized “hard: skills required for emerging professions. For “soft” skills, you’ll need to work well with people, problem solve, manage your time, be resilient, and manage your stress. Invest in these hard and soft skills and you’ll be set for any job.
